DATE & TIME: March 15, 2022 – 5:30PM
IN PERSON: Bernheim Hall, Ben May Library
FEATURED SPEAKER: Clyde Higgs, CEO, Atlanta Beltline Inc.

Join us Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 5:30pm at the Ben May Library for “Urban Design Lessons from the Atlanta Beltline Project” featuring Clyde Higgs, President & CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc.

As one of the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States, the Atlanta BeltLine is the catalyst for making Atlanta a global beacon for equitable, inclusive, and sustainable city life.

It is a sustainable redevelopment project that will ultimately connect 45 intown neighborhoods via a 22-mile loop of multi-use trails, modern streetcar, and parks – all based on railroad corridors that formerly encircled Atlanta. When completed, it will provide first and last mile connectivity for regional transportation initiatives and put Atlanta on a path to 21st century economic growth and sustainability.

The Atlanta BeltLine is the most comprehensive transportation and economic development effort ever undertaken in the City of Atlanta and among the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs currently underway in the United States.

A graduate of the University of South Alabama, Clyde Higgs currently serves as President & CEO of Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. Clyde brings over 20 years’ experience in economic development, real estate, intellectual property, technology, strategic planning, design, real estate development, grant and donor funding, and government relations, with a diversity of projects including those that specialize in urban innovation, science and technology.

This program is FREE and open to all. Residents of Mobile and Baldwin counties are encouraged to attend. The program will stream live on YouTube and Facebook on Tuesday, March 15th at 5:30pm. The panel discussion will be followed by a live question & answer opportunity.
